TB is one o the most common causes of death among black South Africans. At least 50 000 new cases of TB occur in SA every year. Though TB can be cured, it is still widespread and completely out of control in this country. Leslie London analyses the reasons behind the current state health policy on control of TB and how this affects organised labour.
