Debating broad alliance

Progressive organisations are discussing the issue of forming alliances with forces in the ‘middle ground’ and forces in the ‘ruling bloc’. Andrew Boraine argues that alliances should be built on specific issues rather than general principles. He also says that alliances should be built on the recognition that different forces have different and contradictory interests.
