Satawu held its first national congress during August since its merger in May 2000. The congress provided a good opportunity to assess the merger process and some of the problems which arose. The Labour Bulletin spoke to Satawu general secretary Randa Howard about the lessons other affiliated could learn in pursuing merger initiatives.
