Traditionally the ANC has dominated its alliance with the Congress of South African Trade Unions and the SA Communist Party. David Masondo argues that this must be changed by amongst other things the creation of an SACP quota system in the legislature, which would provide it with an independent platform to challenge antiworking class decisions.
