There is no question so fundamental to the trade union movement as human rights and dignity. South Africa, as the only country on earth which legally denies basic political and human rights to the majority of its citizens on the colour of their skin, insults the dignity of all human beings, and is a primary and legitimate concern of the trade union movement by Italian trade unionists.
