OATUU: The Struggle for Trade Union Unity in Africa

The fourth congress of OATUU (the Organisation of African Trade Union Unity) was held in Lagos, the capital of Nigeria, in early 1985. This conference should have been an expression of unity between workers throughout the continent of Africa. Yet the conference was marked by deep political and ideological divisions.
