Recently COSATU met with several employers’ associations, including the Federated Chamber of Industries (FCI), to demand that they oppose the new Labour Relations Amendement Bill. Bokkie Botha, Chairperson of the FCI’s Standing Committee on Manpower and Group Personnel Manager of AECI, believes that capital and labour should look for common ground to build on. SALB interviewed him about the Bill and the political restrictions on COSATU.
